Nana at Uncle Matt’s
27 May 2012Nana (Chief’s mom) is staying for the weekend at Matt’s, in Moraga.
Nanu (Vicki), Madie, Cole, Lucy and I went over to say hi, and have lunch. The sun came out, and boy did we get an eyeful. These photos are all iPhone shots, and don’t do the garden justice. Matt and Hilary have completely outdone themselves. Hilary wasn’t home, but her mother Meda was visiting. Nana was happy to see Lucy. We had so much fun, we can’t wait to go over again soon.
(The last 5 shots are from Cole)
May 7th
07 May 2012Our sweet Ava baby would be nine today. Lucy and I went out for peonies. (And a haircut.) They didn’t have the pink ones I wanted. They has some tiny dark pink ones, that weren’t open yet. So I went with the white. It’s fine, right?
I love the wrapping. It’s always my temptation to leave them in the paper.
A PRETTY butterfly from Auntie Kristi ♥
Running with a lollipop?!
Cady sent me these pics – isn’t she sweet! And – that is exactly the right pink peony. I’ll make sure to call in my order ahead next year (10!)
Tonight we are going out to dinner down the street – Ragazza. I want to try out their back patio. After, we’ll tear into these:
Kiera and Cole came over for breakfast. SK surprised us with these classic lovelies! ♥!
Easter ’12
08 Apr 2012
The kids were scarcely back from church for 30 seconds when Oscar spotted an egg and the hunt was on.
Jeanette and Jimmy are in town!
Kiera (&family) hosted Easter Brunch, and it was Incredible!
Kiera & Cole, Jeanette & Jim, THANK YOU!! What a gorgeous brunch you treated us to! So much attention to detail! It was very special. We will never forget it!
(I look forward to linking to the Sweet Kiera post, when it’s up, for all the pretty food photography!)
Can we do this every year? :)
First Foothold in The Backyard
11 Mar 2012We got a small, basic first effort in today.
I pulled some weeds, Mark mowed.
I weed whacked, and pruned some of the roses.
Salamanders abound.
This azalea was given to us by Inge and Gesa the day Ava was born! Chief saved it, brought it back to health, and now it’s here:
Here’s the plant when it was new (May 2003):
I have Much Much Much more to do in time for Easter.
On a positive note, the very beginnings of the Lilac blooms are just visible!
