Easter Morning Photos

02 Apr 2013

We had so much fun.
In review, I forgot to put out the fancy new candlesticks (oops), and we ran out of time to dye eggs (darn). The backyard Lilacs weren’t in bloom yet (oh well – we bought gorgeous tulips at the farmer’s market). I never found time to get the dry cleaning done (don’t worry, I wore clothes). None of these things mattered.

We had an amazing time with our Crvarich cousins, who were in town for a few days, visiting from San Juan Capistrano. The kids get along like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Lucy and Kate are promised to be each other’s maids of honor. The boys played Knights vs. Pirates for HOURS. I will post the rest of the Crvarich photos soon.

Miss you guys! Talk soon I hope! XOXO

Easter ’12

08 Apr 2012

The kids were scarcely back from church for 30 seconds when Oscar spotted an egg and the hunt was on.

Jeanette and Jimmy are in town!

Kiera (&family) hosted Easter Brunch, and it was Incredible!

Kiera & Cole, Jeanette & Jim, THANK YOU!! What a gorgeous brunch you treated us to! So much attention to detail! It was very special. We will never forget it!
(I look forward to linking to the Sweet Kiera post, when it’s up, for all the pretty food photography!)

Can we do this every year? :)

Easter At Omi And Opi’s (Easter Pt. III)

We had SUCH a nice time! Dinner was delicious lamb roast with new potatoes and asparagus. Gesa and I had fun making a gravy with Grand Marnier! Omi out-did herself with an egg hunt as soon as we got in the door – and so much delicious chocolate! (She has terrific taste in chocolate). The last photos are of Lucy devouring a giant Belgian chocolate ladybug, filled with little chocolate ladybugs. Inge didn’t make it into any photos, but she was there too! We all had a really great evening. ♥

Easter Brunch (Easter Pt. II)

The Sun came out!
We enjoyed the company of all these people – except, aren’t we missing somebody?

Oh! He was hiding behind the couch, and thought he could get away with it! I was too amused to be mad…
(the first one is better.)

People brought such tasty food!

Here’s our Egg hunt. Lucy wore a different dress by accident. Oh well – at least she didn’t change into black jeans and a starwars t shirt.
