Happy 90th Birthday Nana!

26 Jan 2013

I’m so Happy for Nana! January 20th was her 90th Birthday!

Unfortunately Mark and I, and the kids, had to miss her party at the last minute! Oscar had a fever, and I had a weird allergic reaction. Lucy, for the record, was game to go with out us. She was heartbroken to miss the birthday party. So was I!

Cole took these wonderful photos, and he was awesome to let me post them here. :)

I think they’re watching the slideshow

Sweet Kiera made pretty rose cupcakes

With her sister, H.L.

And, here’s the little slideshow I made for the lunch:

Last but not least, a Big Thank You to Aunt Julie for organizing the party!
I heard through the grapevine it was a beautiful success.

Nana at Uncle Matt’s

27 May 2012

Nana (Chief’s mom) is staying for the weekend at Matt’s, in Moraga.
Nanu (Vicki), Madie, Cole, Lucy and I went over to say hi, and have lunch. The sun came out, and boy did we get an eyeful. These photos are all iPhone shots, and don’t do the garden justice. Matt and Hilary have completely outdone themselves. Hilary wasn’t home, but her mother Meda was visiting. Nana was happy to see Lucy. We had so much fun, we can’t wait to go over again soon.
(The last 5 shots are from Cole)

Visiting Nana and Jane

12 Dec 2011

And the horses and “cowses” :)
Jane’s horses are the bay, named Marcus, and the grey, Ringo. They’re adorable.
This is Shingle Springs, in the El Dorado foothills. It’s beautiful country! We watched the Niner game, and fed the horses some carrots. We went for a little walk to see the sights. It was great to get out and see the place. I hope to visit again soon.

Ps. the picture below of the grey horse running in the afternoon sun is Nana’s favorite, named Luke. She walks down the road to see him every day. He’s running to come see us and have a carrot!
