An East Bay Summer Day, With Family

19 Jul 2013

(And, Camera)
Cole took these sweet shots yesterday. We went over to see Madie and Alex, and I had it in mind to help her in the baby’s room, but we ended up not accomplishing much. Instead, we walked over to Piedmont Ave to get fish tacos at Baja Taqueria. Chief and Nanu met us there (We were all waving at the car. I *LOVE* good timing). After, we walked to a bookstore. I had flashbacks to Dad buying books for me and Madie. And then we came back and sat on the porch. It was niiiice. Madie is 39 weeks, in case you are wondering – due date is next Friday.

Play Ball!

11 Mar 2013

Our first game is in the books. It turns out that our league is really nice for a kid who’s never played before. At Oscar’s level, (“upper farm”) they don’t keep score, and each kid hits each inning. Once I saw how mellow it was, I took a deep sigh of relief. Oscar is going to have so much fun! To borrow the words of Uncle Joe, “What a thrill for them.” Joe, we’re all jealous too!

Uncle Cole took these awesome photos for us. They make the action look a little faster and crisper than it may have been.. We were laughing at the mis-match between the pro equipment and the game as it was. Still, I’m thrilled to have such a sweet account of my little guy in his first baseball game. Thank you Cole :)

This just came in – an email from our coach. I’m putting it in here because I love it.

We have two Oscars on our team. Evidently, our Oscar already has a nickname. Coach Rob gave it to him, so I’m pretty sure it’s here to stay.

Our schedule. (It’s just a screen shot so don’t expect it to pop up a cute map when you click. :)

Give us a heads up if you need some directions.

Lucy’s First Swim Lesson

30 Jun 2011

Wow it went so great! I should have guessed. Lucy rocked it.
The lessons are at La Petit Baleen. The photos will speak for themselves. She’s such a little peanut. Cole took Lucy in, because I have a little cut I didn’t want to get wet. So, thanks so much Uncle Cole!
We scheduled Oscar and Lucy’s lessons for the exact same time. Next week I will be in the pool and not able to snap any photos – so this worked out perfectly.
