Congratulations you guys! We can’t believe it’s been a whole year!
It may be time to watch the slideshow again…
Hugs and Kisses! Love you both!
P.S. Happy Birthday Cole ♥
This is a link to a slideshow of photos from this weekend’s party: a sleepover.
(oooooh, the first of many?)
Fun times – and more to come on the 4th, his actual bday.

Thanks, Sweet Kiera, for beautiful cookies!
Oscar picked a lot of things out himself, including the slideshow music. Pretty cool that James Brown.
(PS. I can’t wait until Lucy’s birthday party, one of my last chances to make it All the way I want it! bwahahahahaa….)
We all drove north on the 101 to a little campsite in Myer’s Flat, along the South fork of the Eel river.
Nanu and Chief scouted the site ahead of time, and chose it for it’s awesome swimming, which couldn’t be closer to the campsite unless we pitched tents on the riverbed. It was lovely! We all fell head over heels in love with our cute shade tree. (Anyone know what kind of tree that was?) Also, it’s just far enough from the Bay Area that it wasn’t as crowded as some of the other places in consideration. The sights and smells kept bringing me back to my childhood. (We even caught a frog, and a lizard that Lucy named Sue.)
We pitched our tents during the daylight, and Nanu came up at night with Mark, who had to work late.
Due to a super unfortunate scheduling snafu, Alex had baseball playoffs and had to miss the trip. We tried to re-assure ourselves that there can be many more trips, with lots of Alex time. Still, Al, you were Greatly missed!!
It was a short trip, cut even shorter by me. :( We were planning to stay til Monday, but I wimped out. Temps reached the hundreds, and the idea of packing and driving home solo convinced me to go back with Mark on Sunday afternoon. Had it only been 85, things may have been different. That’s my story. (also, for the record, the ‘Tent Olympics’ were taxing. I need one that’s “palatial”.)
Still, I’m ready to go again…
D’oh — school starts tomorrow…
Also worth noting – Cole’s camera broke, (!!) early on, and so the photos that are ‘standing in’ were taken by our assortment of iPhones and aging point-n-shoots.
eh. I didn’t bring my camera – the car was too full! Plus, we were all relaxing, and no pressure to take pictures was nice. This slideshow came together in spite almost no effort.
Thank you Kiera for the great music suggestion. Thanks C+K, Madie, and Nanu for contributing photos.
enjoy the show.

ps yes, I realize I spelled Myers wrong – I’ll fix it tomorrow!

UPDATE:
The Slideshow: https://oscarandlucy.com/wp-content/slideshows/2012/madie-and-alex/
This isn’t “the” kiss but wow… Hot! Also, I put some photos up on Natural Light Photography’s facebook page. Only a couple, though, so the slideshow will make full impact. :) I am so excited to plow through the stacks of files! I haven’t even seen them all yet..! Most photos are by Cole. Let it be known that this was his first 12 hour wedding! Chief and Kristi are also contributors. I need to check, but I think Kristi may have snapped this click? She was using Cole’s 200mm telephoto lens, which we nicknamed “the Hubble”.
It was a classic day by the bay: morning mist, fresh bright sun with encroaching fog through the Golden Gate. Blustery winds kept our homemade flags whipping loudly. There are some fun photos of Madie with her veil dancing above her head – coming soon. Alex was dashing, and his wedding vows packed some serious heat. Madie’s vows were equally beautiful. All the family and friends were smiling and so happy. Lucy slept in her stroller as Oscar took the dance floor by force. It was an amazing wedding. The slideshow will be coming soon (if I’m not too much of a slacker…)
Congrats Madie and Alex – I ♥ U!!
..Better Late Than Never!
I’m so happy I was able to finish this up in time, before Madie & Alex’s wedding, followed closely by this year’s Camp July. Make sure your volume is on, and run-time is about 8 minutes.

Now I’m EVEN MORE excited for Denver, if that’s possible! XOXO
am so happy to write this post! Cole and Kiera got married, and only these pictures can tell the story properly – my words would not do the wedding justice! It was Amazing. And this slideshow is the biggest one I’ve ever done! In the words of my best friend Kristi, “More is More!” I just hope people have the bandwidth!
Most of the photos in the show were taken by Katie Osgood, Cole and Kiera’s awesome New York based wedding photographer. We’re so happy to have had her and her assistant Heather. Some photos in this show were taken by Chief (A few the black and whites are his medium format film). One important shot is by Kate Darfler, and one is even by the bride herself! (Any guesses?) Thank you to all our photographers!
Also, I want to thank Jim and Jeanette Gilhooly, for being such unbelievably gracious hosts! They took such care, and were so lovely to host us in their home during such an important week! Jeanette, YOU ride shotgun!
And of course, they threw one heck of a party! (As you will see..)
Slideshow notes: you need Flash, so this won’t work in an iPhone. The run time is about 11 minutes. Also, make sure your volume is up!

Congratulations! Love you guys!! xxoo
